I just came across this event in Pygmalion and wanted to share it! This Friday night (7.30pm, February 3rd, 2017) a fun little evening is being arrange on behalf of E-ducare (tickets). These guys are a non-for-profit organisation that gives children in Ireland and Vietnam the opportunity to get an education so that they may have a chance to make a difference for themselves and their community.

100% of the proceeds will be used to support the cause.

What E-ducare are currently fundraising for is The Charity Classrooms programme in Vietnam, which is is managed by Mr. Dao Van Thang Tran and his wife Mrs Thi Ha Duy. Along with three teachers, Charity Classrooms provide free education to a group of children between the ages of 6 and 15. All these children come from difficult backgrounds and underprivileged families. Unfortunately, some of them live on the streets and Charity Classrooms is their only safe haven. Children are invited to attend lessons to build skills in maths, reading and writing. They can also avail of medical and dental care in the nearby Xuan Hoa clinic.

Their goal is to build a better structure for the current students, which is a huge group of around 50-60 children! When they reach this goal, their hope is to find and educate even more students and help build their community.

So, instead of paying €15 to see an overrated DJ this weekend, in a place where pints cost a million quid – why not get over to Pyg? One ticket will cost you only €11 which includes a welcome drink, an entry into the fab raffle AND some nibbles. Sounds too good right? Well, it’s happening so there’s no good reason to not get involved. Tickets can again, be purchased here. All of the proceeds will be going to this E-ducare fundraising project.

It kicks off at 7.30pm and will be bringing the same Pyg vibes as usual, so don’t miss out!
