Both of these products I had been very interested in buying, but sometimes when simple thing are a bit pricey it’s hard to justify the purchase. I was suffering with dry skin and lips big time when I purchased these guys. It seems like such a problem for both winter and summer time weather, but I know I’m not alone on that one. Here are two products from MAC’s Prep + Prime Collection which I had mixed thoughts on. These of course can be found on and also in BT2 (Ireland).

MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Skin Primer

This primer glides on to your skin, leaving such a smooth texture! If like me, you suffer from dry skin that foundation can worsen, this product is for you. After moisturising, apply a small amount of product to the face and leave to dry. Foundation comes directly after, leaving a perfect glow.

You can choose from light sparkling pink or yellow. I chose the pink and it works really well to highlight my skin and leave a dewy look. Priced at €39.50, it is quite expensive. But I think when it comes to your skincare, it’s no harm to invest in good quality, and I think that this product is just that.

Mac Prep + Prime for the Lips

I heard really good things about this so I decided that I had to try it out. My lips are extremely dry and I was hoping to find a product to moisturise them and improve their appearance, especially when wearing lipstick. I chose MAC because I am usually always satisfied with their beauty products. This lip primer felt really nice on the lips and made applying lip liner and lipstick really easy. However not long after I have applied my lipstick does it start to dry out and cracks form again.

I was hoping that the primer would stay active similar to the way a skin primer would, under foundation. It may not be worth the €20 although I still use it but more as a lip balm because I look the natural effect it gives my lips.
