The Other Voices live stream is coming to the US, the UK and Germany. This iconic event which is proudly held in Dingle, Co. Kerry for the past 17 years, is finally returning to its home this weekend.
Starting tomorrow, Friday November 30th, friends and fans can watch the Other Voices live stream. Times and links below.
The internationally acclaimed music television series is recorded each December in the stunning seaside town of Dingle, on the Wild Atlantic Way. For the first time ever, the Other Voices live stream team have joined forces with Tourism Ireland & Kerry County Council to broadcast the music to our friends based across the pond and over into Europe.
The Other Voices live stream starts on Friday, November 30th and finishes up on the night of Saturday, December 1st. So what’s in store?
On Friday, join the tiny audience at St. James’ Church to enjoy music from Loah who is a Sierra Leonean-Irish rising soul star, the fabulous Courtney Marie Andrews, an Arizona-born Americana performer and Irish singer songwriter David Keenan.
On Saturday, revel in music from the startling, fearless South African singer Nakhane, one of Britain’s most distinctive new voices, Jade Bird, brilliant Irish producer and hip hop artist Kojaque and the R&B soul-singer and writer Mahalia.
Along with the performances from many exciting bands and musicians that you will see on this year’s Other Voices live stream, there will also be a host of clips from the past. You won’t be left waiting while the bands set up, instead you can enjoy behind the scenes footage and unforgettable performances by the likes of Hozier, Amy Winehouse, The National, Elbow, Glen Hansard, Damien Rice and many more.
Why No Other Voices Live Stream in Ireland?
Ireland friends: I hear you! WHY oh why can’t we watch the Other Voices live stream? Well, that’s because this magical event is recorded and will be broadcasted on RTÉ in early 2019. Sigh. But the good news is, if you are in Dingle this weekend, the Other Voices live stream will be played in the various OV partner venues.
While I’m here, if you are in Dingle this weekend and didn’t win the lottery tickets for St. James’ Church, do NOT miss Annie Mac (Saturday, Foxy John’s) and two of my fave Dublin musicians, Wastefellow (Saturday, McCarthy’s Bar twice!) & Kojaque (Friday, An Chonair Bar).
For those in the US, UK & Germany, the Other Voices live stream is once again on Friday & Saturday at ireland.com/othervoiceslive!
Other Voices Dingle 2018 is made possible with the support and partnership of RTÉ, Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Kerry County Council, Hennessy, IMRO and Fáilte Ireland.
